“Harp Spoofing” is an acoustic track contained in It took a while…. The title is a sleight of word based on the ARP spoofing hack, where a guitar “pretends” to sound like an harp, by means of a carefully chosen fingering. It was done by combining altered Amajor arpeggios and scales spanned on adjacent strings like – that’s the point – an harp.
The opening arpeggio (working as theme of the track) stars from an AMaj13#7 (#7 on the sixth string) that moves toward a B13 and back to the AMaj#7 with the root on the fourth string – ninth fret.
