Using a Zoom IQ7 detached from an iPhone

Using a Zoom IQ7 with an iPhone wearing a cover can be challenging. The IQ7 has a removable pad allowing a longer lightning connector, however in some cases it is not long enough. Moreover, there could be the necessity to separate the microphone from the device for a better placement. The solution is using a female-male cable. It is easier for USB-C devices, as these cables are easier to find. Not so with a lightning connector.

Mind: to have the iPhone to recognise the IQ7 it is necessary to plug the microphone into the cable first, and the connect the cable to the smartphone. If the IQ7 leds blink, the connection is established and also the video app uses the IQ7 as an input.
