The AmazonBasics Professional USB Microphone is a side-address. It means that the microphone must be placed vertically to collect the sound.
In other words, tilting the mike won’t do any good because the cardioid capsule would be oriented toward the floor (or the ceiling, according to the position chosen), thus reducing the ability to properly catch the soundwave.
Although it might look apparent from the design, the Amazon product page does not document this feature.
